Dave Fehnel, M.D.

Dr. Fehnel is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, with an expertise in complex shoulder problems such as shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, fractures of the shoulder region and both primary and reversed total shoulder replacements. He attended Bucknell University for his undergraduate degree and received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. For postgraduate training, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont and his fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Duke University. Previously, he was the team physician for Duke University and is currently one for Endicott College, Gordon College, and several high schools. Dr. Fehnel presently serves as president of SMN and is an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society.
