Stephen Maurer, M.D.

Dr. Maurer is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive procedures of the shoulder, including shoulder replacements for fractures and arthritis. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. For postgraduate training, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery, as well as a one-year fellowship in basic science and clinical research, both at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases. From there, he finished his fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic where he served as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Sparks, Los Angeles Galaxy, Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Mighty Ducks and the University of Southern California athletics.
