Richard J. D’Agostino, M.D.

Dr. D’Agostino is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, devoting his practice to the care and treatment of athletes and their injuries. He has worked with athletes at all levels, including collegiate, professional, and Olympic men and women. He is the founder of the Student Athlete Screening Program at St. Francis Hospital for the prevention of sudden death in athletes. Dr. D’Agostino received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, he completed his fellowship in sports medicine, arthroscopy, knee, shoulder and related surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. Dr. D’Agostino is chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York, and director of the Orthopedic Service Line of the Catholic Health System. He is a faculty member and associate professor at Hofstra University School of Medicine.
